We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Transport Manager to oversee our vehicle fleet operations based at our Glasgow depot covering our projects across Scotland and the North of England. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with UK Acts and Statutory Frameworks, manage driver administration, and maintain health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, audit, and optimize compliance systems
- Address deficiencies to meet operator license requirements
- Monitor driver administration and maintain accurate records
- Enforce compliance with drivers' hours rules and manage disciplinary actions
- Oversee vehicle administration, including maintenance and insurance records
- Ensure roadworthiness of vehicles and conduct safety inspections
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for vehicle servicing and repairs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Transport Manager CPC + Refresher (5-year cycle)
- Experience in managing mechanical workshops or work scheduling
- Valid Cat B driving license (minimum)
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent (desirable)
- Previous people management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
